By age 30 Timothy was appointed as the Director of Operations & Projects for one of London’s most prestigious and established boutique hospitality operators, The Breakfast Group. Under Eric Yu, Timothy oversaw operations of the existing estate, and led the expansion, taking the group from 6 sites to 10 and revenues from $10m to $25 million.

In 2017, this combination of strategic, commercial, operational and creative experience was recognised by Selina Hotels as being integral to transforming their revenue generating amenities, into a premiumised, infrastructure supported, operationally sound, profitable and scalable portfolio of ancillary revenue outlets for their burgeoning hotel estate.
Initially engaged as a consultant, he was soon appointed as the Vice President of Commercial & Operations at Selina Hotels. This was a key leadership role at the company, where he was responsible for ideating and implementing a strategic roadmap that would facilitate the rapid and sound expansion of the company after an infusion of private equity capital.
Reporting directly to the CEO, Timothy led the strategy, development, implementation, operations and growth of the global Restaurants, Bars & Retail (RB&R) estate. The remit was incredibly complex yet ultimately resulted in successfully expanding the RB&R estate from 5 outlets to over 300, in 100 hotels, spanning across 20 countries in six continents. This estate generated a P&L of $150 million, delivered by a location-level staff contingent of over 1,500 people, all of which was under Timothy’s direct accountability.
This success led to Selina Hotels being listed on NASDAQ (SLNA).
Timothy was responsible for the several crucial functions at Selina Hotels.
where he led global M&A activity, property asset underwriting, development, and the global Restaurant, Bar & Retail estate.
This visibility to M&A proved to be a lightbulb moment for me, as I realised I should be working this hard for myself, and not for a CEO that treated everybody like garbage.
